Making The Web Accessible

It’s our goal as designers and copywriters to create websites that can be accessed and used by as many people as possible. This includes people with visual impairments using screen readers, those who have difficulty perceiving visual content, and people with cognitive disabilities. We use a variety of techniques to ensure our websites meet WCAG 2.0 and AODA standards. For example: we add alt text and captions to images so screen readers can describe images, if a link opens in a new tab we give advanced warning, and all headlines follow semantics such as h1, h2, h3, h4 in order of importance on a page. The features and editing tools within your WordPress content management system would follow accessibility standards and best practices, and our staff would be pleased to share best practices with you for editing the website and maintaining accessibility.
